Meeting with Roseline

Roseline d'Oreye, founder and CEO of her eponymous silk and leather accessories brand, began her career as a book illustrator, particularly of children's books.

“Creation and drawing have always been the pillars of my life. For as long as I can remember, I have always drawn. From childhood, I had already decided to dedicate my life to these passions.”

- Roseline

For about ten years, the Belgian artist pursued several professional paths. He illustrated books (for children), but also created portraits, murals, and announcements.

She also trained in several art therapy methods and taught students various forms of artistic expression, always inspired by her explorations of the world, whether internal or external.

Roseline transcribed her explorations in these travel journals, which she considered her strongest personal expression.

Since then, the artist has continued to capture the emotions, fleeting moments and fascination she experiences in her travel journals from around the world.

“My passions for art, humanity, creativity and the unconscious have found fulfillment in these different fields of expression.”

- Roseline

Upon encountering silk, Roseline discovered a new realm of expression. A material as noble as it is eternal.

This fiber, so fine, so soft, so shiny, with almost magical properties (link to article properties of silk), becomes his preferred medium, since it allows him to combine his taste for art, stories and colors with that of a fashion accessory that is worn, that beautifies and that protects the person who wears it.

For Roseline, the silk scarf represents the joy of stories and travel, the freedom of colors and shapes, but above all the fulfillment of creating a beautiful, useful and delicate object that can be worn at any age, by men as well as women, and passed down from generation to generation.

In 2019, the illustrator launched this project from her studio in Laeken, a project that would soon become a recognized brand in Belgium and abroad. In December 2022, the Roseline d'Oreye boutique opened its doors, nestled in the heart of the oldest covered arcades in the world – the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert.

The Shop

When the shop becomes a workshop

The Roseline d'Oreye boutique, nestled in the heart of the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert, is more than just a sales space, it is the creative lair of the Belgian artist.

Upstairs, Roseline imagines, paints, creates and transcribes her travel and poetry stories into unique and colorful designs.

Roseline gives personal advice and takes the time to meet her audience - human exchange and generosity being two fundamental values of the designer.

Entering the boutique is like stepping into a world where time slows down and fashion becomes a story. Visitors don't come simply to buy a piece, but to experience an encounter.
